I myself and my brother agree.
A vote should be made to all members to change the class rules to what they use to be displacement wise before 250 2-strokes were allowed into the class.

Or

A vote for two new classes to be added. A 250 Fourstroke class and a 250 Twostroke class.
How these will broke down should be decided by what the club decides is proper.
You could limit each one to A/B riders, make them Open to any skill level or whatever.

If this was to happen, seeing the 125Expert class or 125Expert/125Int class along with the 250 classes dissapearing would be fine with me. And I am sure with others.

I feel Novice classes should remain as they are a danger to faster riders. This would also help keep classes from getting over a full gate.

I also see bigger classes coming out of this, I dont know about you but racing expert with 6 people is the most boring thing ever. If you fall there is no point in trying as since these tracks are freeways there's no real chance of catching up and you will spend your time riding by yourself bored.


There is no reason one bike should be allowed to ride three classes. (Pro,250exp,125exp)

A separation of those bikes I am willing to bet would bring back riders who have all vanished over the years. As I know a lot of them feel strongly about the rule and dislike it. Another way to also bring them back would be to make a track thats not like riding on a freeway but we all know that will never happen.

in a straight away a 250 two stroke will win by far. Our track is defiantly straight! Any racer knows that too. if we were racing fairbanks this could be a little different.

just that we race here more often. But this rule shouldnt just change for city, but for state too. honestly, whats a faster bike on the track? 250f or 250 two stroke? youve raced both

Honestly Elan, they are both the same the two stroke may make up more time in the straight stretches but its harder to ride in the corners and harder to controll, as where the four stroke you can just hold wide open every where and you can make up the lost time in the corners with the four stroke. so the four stroke can be better also because it causes less fatigue and there for you can ride a much stronger flaw-less moto.

Ridding a two stroke makes you a better rider when you switch back to the four stroke so when i switch back to the four stroke ill be a lot faster, more flawless! =] plus the 250 2 stroke is much cheeper to maintain and to buy. I never made the excuse of ridding one bike for all three classes, I don't know why you thought I did, I never planned to ride the 2 stroke in all 3 classes.
And Michelle why do you even care about the 125 expert class so much? just a question/thought? And the season is over why are you having such a problem after everything is all done?

Again why are you so concerned with what is going on in the 125x class it has nothing to do with you at all.. You probally wont ever race that moto ever! Your not going to even be here next year. Who are you to question any one in the Expert class and their rules or bike issues... You need to worrie about yourself and your championship because you only got one by default ;-) Make sure while ur sporting that Jacket you mention you raced yourself!

Omg "flyhigher" quit being a hater I know your jelous of my jacket because you didn't get one and I watched every 125x moto and every 250f was running hard and still getting pulled in the straights I only asked Casey that because he said he could run a better moto on 250f I know alot of riders and parents were upset with the 125x class and I will be back next year maybe I will run 125x just for the hell of it and "flyhigher" who are you!! Well I have raced a 250 2 stroke , a 250f as well as a 450. When I moved up here and started racing this club I was amazed that they let a 250 2troke race the 250f. The 2troke is quicker,more agile and is flat out faster then a 250f. Corners on a 2troke have faster exit speed and on rough tracks are easier to handle due to the light feeling ergos of the bike. The 2troke is more flick able then the F's on jumps as well as quicker off the start. IMO the 2troke in the 250f class is a cheater bike plain and simple.

If you guys really want to make a difference and have the best shot at getting the rules the way you "think" they need to be then you need to quit arguing this topic on here.

Why? Some of the quotes from both sides blows my mind with the stuff some of you say. It's no secret on my thoughts about the 2-stroke rule but sitting on here bickering about it wont change it.

No big wig who is a strong supporter of the rule is gonna log on here and go "You know what....They are right".

I imagine for 2011 the 2-strokes will still be in the same ruling. But by 2012 at least in your Local ARL series you guys could have them removed or whatever you just gotta stop talking and acting.

Petition for what you want. Make multiple petitions for the rule with each one having a solution to changing the rule one way or other. Wether its revert back to the old displacement, new classes or whatever.

Make sure only ARL members are signing the petition for the ARL series, in state it doesn't matter who.

Be realistic with these, don't go around asking the kids to sign this. Ask the people its gonna apply to AKA people in the Expert classes, people who are on their way to the expert class in the new few years so on. Older riders with knowledge. Also state the age groups you went after, find out the total members in the ARL configuring to that age group you chose id imagine 14 or 16 +. The board should be able to provide you with that information.

I believe you catch my drift, you guys have a whole winter to setup your own mini board and sort this all out and have a chance to change the rules for 2012.

Ok Ive raced both 250f and 250s for years now plain and simple if your at an expert skill level in mostly stock form no true motor work like a full blown PC motor in your 250f your gonna go faster on a 2 stroke everytime especially in ak where the tracks are fast loamy and duff horse power will win. On California blue groove yeah you can probably go the same like in that test that was done, but your probably gonna go the same as the 450 also ive been on tracks like that before to. Ive done seasons racing both bikes at the same time one in the "125/250f" class and one in the "250/450f" and you know what i did laptimes almost everytime i raced and i was always about 2 seconds a lap faster on my 2stroke. The 450 was created to replace the 2stroke 250 not the 2stroke 250 was braught back to replace the 250f. The pros quit using them cuz the fuel led law was passed in the AMA and the bikes couldnt make the power that they used to while the fourstrokes actually ran better, its not cuz they were so far behind 4 stroke technology. Now i dont race anymore but i love mx and have watched a few races and the 125 x class is a joke now while when it was a true 125/250f class it was excellent and in my mind the most prestigious class. Now its like a smack in my face watchin when i think how hard i used to have to ride my 250 against the 450s and how all the great races ive had in the 125 class with Lymburner Motsko and Bailey wouldnt even happen now cuz one of us would ride an unequal bike, becuz somehow in a few peoples heads it got in there that they are equal to a 250f cuz of useable power?? that is untrue hey you know what a 250f is easier to ride then a 250 2 stroke but its also alot easier to ride then a 450... pretty sure on that. I dont see why with the way things are in your rule book you can go right from an 80cc straight upto to a 250cc 2stroke that is rediculous! Your missing a huge huge step there, more power to you if u want to do that but 5 years ago you didnt ride a 250 unless you were ready for the fastest bike made for mx. This aint a huge deal its common sense you wanna race your 250 2stroke in the 125/250f class then you might as well let 125s race with 80s and 80s with 60s and 60s with 50s its pretty much like that ive seen kids on 80s go faster then kids on 125s so it must be because 80s are easier to ride right? Thats what this rule is like to me. If ur a better rider you should be able to win on anything, but your putting the better riders on faster bikes and it just so happens that the manufacture that they like to ride still make a 2stroke so you punish everyone else cuz they remain shop and manufacturer loyal, and dont act like that aint a big deal and if its not go upto jim stewart and tell him hes not allowed to ride a suzuki anymore. If you would just make the class like its supposed to be and put everything back to normal then there will be no more bickering no more advantadge and dissadvantadge talk everything will be equal and no one will ever be able to talk about it anymore
